Our S and ST ranges comprise 10 sizes of fans with a single piece moulded, high density polypropylene casing to handle a huge range of airflows and pressure. They are constructed using industry standard round spigot sizes in a compact design, that is easy to assemble with direct driven motors.

Stainless Steel Fans

Our MDI range of centrifugal stainless steel fans are designed to handle corrosive air at higher temperatures. The maximum working temperature of the carried air is 130ºC and the ambient air is 50ºC (single phase) or 60ºC (three phase).

Accessories

We offer a range of accessories to facilitate installation that are available to buy as part of our corrosion resistant fan pack.

The fume cupboard fan pack is designed to simplify the installation of plastic fan systems by providing the fan and all relevant accessories together as a complete solution. Axair’s polypropylene range is highly durable and is designed to handle a huge array of corrosive chemicals. See the image below for more information.

Accessories include mechanical isolation of the fan from the ductwork by means of chemical resistant flexible duct connectors that can be attached by quick-release stainless steel band clips. Mechanical isolation of the fan from the motor pedestal or base by means of rubber anti vibration mountings of the correct hardness and compression.

Flange pairs with sockets to fit standard plastic ductwork that can provide an easy method of disconnecting the fan stack on occasions where a flexible connector is impractical.

We can also pre-wire to electrical isolators to the motor terminal to ensure first class electrical work in factory conditions and an isolator fan on the pedestal.

For fume cupboards we can supply ‘low air’ alarms and air speed controls that are modern, sophisticated products requiring no special training to install and commission.

Applications

Our corrosion resistant fume fans are are designed for applications where potentially corrosive chemicals and hazardous gases are present in the environment or in the air stream. ATEX rated non-sparking versions of our corrosive extract fans are required where there is the potential for explosion. Some common examples would be:
